Gas leak at Porter Ranch

A sign warning sign that reads 'LAPD IN THE AREA PLEASE' is posted near the Aliso Canyon storage facility at the Porter Ranch area of Los Angeles, California, the United States on January 6, 2015. California Gov. Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency today in the Porter Ranch area due to the continuing leak of natural gas from the Aliso Canyon storage facility. The leak at Porter Ranch started in October, and likely won’t be fixed for at least two more months. Officials have relocated several thousand residents who said the stench made them sick.
