The late Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant died along with seven others on Jan. 26 in a helicopter crash. The Los Angeles Lakers honored Kobe Bryant on Jan. 31 at their first game back since his death. Thousands of mourners gather in Staples Center on Feb. 24, 2020, to say farewell to Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant during a public memorial at the arena where Bryant played for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kobe Bryant is the only NBA player to have a 20-year career with one team. Kobe's raw statistics are otherworldly: Five championships, two Finals MVPs, one regular season MVP, third on the all-time career scoring list, 15 All-NBA teams, 18-time All-Star, four-time scoring champion. Bryant died at age 41, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others, in a helicopter crash, Jan. 26, 2020 in in Calabasas, California.
